“We Are All EARS” is a comprehensive domestic violence and sexual assault education and response program for your workplace, designed to address abuse for both employees working remotely and for those on site.
l EDUCATION
A consistent messaging and marketing program showcasing the readiness of your agency to listen and engage, connect the employee to services, and address workplace safety. Virtual and in-person education for all employees regarding the dynamics of abuse and the availability of services and support. Supervisors, Human Resources’, and Security staff obtain trauma-informed support training to understand barriers to disclosures and safety concerns related to domestic and sexual abuse, stalking, threats, strangulation, and restraining orders.
l AVAILABILITY
Mapping disclosure avenues, available options specific to your workplace, and creating understanding and availability regarding workplace programs. Reinforcing the message that workplace safety is a paramount concern and there are pathways within the company to address those concerns.
l RESPONSE
Confidentiality considerations, trauma-informed supervisors, Human Resources staff, and security professionals, pre-determined processes for response to address concerns in each situation from emergent to long term issues. Investigations training and processes to address criminal incidents and disclosures on property, to include interviewing basics for all parties.
l SERVICES
Review and provide a comprehensive database of local services, multidisciplinary programs, and more, all offered as an opportunity for use by the employee; “resources, not requirements.” Connections created with jurisdictional agencies to provide protocol for handling incidents and events, while promoting trauma-informed care.
